I have a Packard Bell Easynote MH35 notebook. It's about 4.5 years old and I think the fan needs replacing. When running, it makes scary ticking/scratching noises like the blades aren't properly balanced - despite it being cleaned regularly, carefully and thoroughly.
I did an online search and I was astounded to find that the compatible Packard Bell fans cost about 70 euros.
Hello, in a moment of madness and thanks to a massive discount, I've just bought a Packard Bell EasyNote TE 11BZ-11206G50Mnks from Tesco, full specs here:
Pedantic as I am, I haven't even touched the device and I would like your advice about how to proceed further.
So... I've been planning to buy this laptop http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-...k.27217.0.html and would like to know how it might work with the upcoming Ubuntu 10.04. Does anyone have any experience with PB laptops running ubuntu?
I recently had to replace the keyboard on a Packard Bell EasyNote TE Windows 8 laptop. However, due to cost restrictions and avilability, I was unable to source an exact replacement.
The keyboard I have replaced the old one with is a very slightly different layout. The Home, Insert, Page Up and Page Down buttons are no longer FN keys on the arrows but are their own key above the numpad.
I've bought myself a new pc which comes with a Windows 8 preinstalled and I want to install a linux distribution onto it, ubuntu 12.04 LTS would be just fine. I've tried booting it from a USB (linux pendrive) but it seems the computer won't detect it. It's a packard bell easynote te laptop. I've also tried to install it with a virtual machine but the vm screen went black.
