http://forum.xda-developers.com – Hey guys, I recently discovered that i havent been receiving text messages at all. I have tried using different sms handlers such as stock sms and go sms apps. I can send messages but not receive them I am running the Ultimatum rom using the kt747 sammy kernel on a Rogers-based phone. I checked the CSC number by dialing *#1234# and this is what was listed AP: i747UCALEM CP: I747MVLLE8 CSC: 1747ATTALEM The fact that they're not the same, could that be the problem? the baseband/modem is i747mvlle(rogers) but the CSC is for ATT, is that bad? Please help, i cant stand no (HowTos)

I'm not receiving any text messages from people that are texting me, but I am receiving my own text messages if i text myself.

I did just have this phone activated yesterday and I ported the number, the process was complete before 11:00 am cst, does it take longer than 24 hours for all the metropcs functions to work on my phone or is there a setting on my phone that needs to be adjusted?

Can't receive text messages 20 weeks 4 days ago

I have an international Note 2 (N7100) that I use on AT&T. Sometime within the last day or two the phone stopped receiving text messages, although it still has no problem sending them. I've tried all the easy stuff: restarting, reseating the SIM, using a different messaging app. So far no luck. Any ideas?

The problem I am having is with receiving Japanese and Chinese text in text messages. I can send Chinese and Japanese charterers just fine, but when others send it to me it just ends up as a blank text. I have simeji installed and have tried other apps but nothing seems to work. Phone model: LG cx670 Android ver. : 2.2.2 my carrier is TELUS

any suggestions or help would be appreciated

Anyways, can any one help me. I updated to jelly bean OTA, and since then my LGOG does not like to send text messages out. No problem receiving them, just more often then not i get a failed sent. I have tried resetting the phone hard/soft. I took my phone into sprint and they said I need a new phone. Wtf!

AOKP not receiving txts 38 weeks 1 day ago

So I just installed AOKP ICS and I'm not receiving any text messages. Not SMS or mms. I froze the original SMS app and installed GoSMS like was recommended, have no problems sending messages, but can't receive anything. Any thoughts? Phone calls and emails both work too.

Hello. I bought an Alcatel OT 991 from Romania. the phone is locked on Orange. But the problem is that I am receiving text messages after 10, 20, 30 minutes or more than an hour. After that once at 10 minutes I'm receiving it again, for more than 10 times. What should I do. Thank you in advance.

Hi i have the g2x. i have the v21Y, 2.3.4 Version. Latest Baseband. i have flashed all roms there is for the g2x all of them can't receive text messages. i can send but i can't receive, it only works if i am connected to the wifi and wifi calling is on. Please help. Thank You.

Hey guys,

I stumbled on this forum while looking for a query, answer to which I could not find.

Basically, I am looking for an app which can delay receiving sms/text or suspend these 2 apps while I'm giving a presentation.

Lets assume that there are some kids who'd love to bug me by dialing my number, only to distract me while I'm delivering a PPT.

Very early reviews of Google Hangouts seem to be mixed. Many people love the new service, but many are also unhappy with the fact that SMS messaging is not integrated.
