Hi guys i m finding a tool that is similar to working of norton ghost and acronis true image.

My basic purpose of doing this is to take full system level backup of my linux machine.

Will it work smooth considering different file types and distributions like debian and linux?

Do i need to download different files for different distributions?

am setting up a PC with Windows 7 for a kid (5 years). It is his first PC so he will be messing with it a lot.

First time I saw this software from its name, I was thinking that this Stellar Phoenix Linux Data recovery is a recovery software running in Linux system. Then I was wrong.

I am looking to use an embedded Linux distro such as Tiny Core as a automated recovery type tool.

Basically, the user would choose to boot into Tiny Core from the boot menu, then if a USB is plugged in containing a ghost type image of the drive (it would contain a unique UUID that udev rules would detect and only then would it start imaging), it would restore the entire hard drive.

Last week I had to renew and got Norton 2012 Internet Security software.

Anyone downloaded the free version of Norton Mobile Security and successfully upgraded to paid version via Google store? I have tried Many times but just get the 'purchasing from google' but get no further. No errors or messages no matter how long I leave it.

Tried the Norton forum but apart from sorry you are having difficulties from Norton rep they are as good as a chocolate fireguard.

Clonezilla has been my favorite disk cloning software to me. Its really easy to use and very powerful. Clonezilla is Debian based distro that specialized it self for disk cloning software. Current version of Clonezilla is version 1.2.4-28. On this release there are many updates and bug fixes.
