I just checked Gnome-look today and found Moonrise, a new dark theme that just got uploaded in June. Moonrise has a dark blueish color theme that empathizes contrast and visibility. It supports both gtk3, gtk 2 and gnome shell.
After an upgrade to OpenSuse 11.3 KDE has gone to worse.
I am beginning to believe that dark themes are impossible to use on the new KDE 4.4.4.

If you are boring with your current Gnome Theme, you should try this nice dark theme for Gnome. Its called Dark-Linux 0.6 theme. This theme is applied to any Linux distro as long as Gnome is used as default desktop manager. Want to try this Dark-Linux 0.6 on your Linux?
Default Gnome Shell's Adwaita theme since Gnome 3.2 has 2 variants: light and dark, and Totem and Eog use dark variant. Can I add some apps like Gimp or Blender to use dark variant?
After I rebooted 15 min ago, I noticed that Unity clock and menu text changed to dark for apparently no reason, so I rebooted again in a hope to remedy.
I have set the dark variation of Adwaita to be used for all apps via gnome tweak tool and it looks great.
Unfortunately, there is one app that doesn't follow the theme and stands out like a sore thumb: Google Chrome.
Any way to get Chrome to use the theme or anyone know of any Chrome themes to match it?
I started using my first dark GTK theme, Equinox Evolution Dusk, and I'm really enjoying it. Unfortunately, some of the text in certain applications, such as mtPaint and FileZilla, are impossible to read; they are white on light gray. Do you have a suggestion of how I can fix this? I'm pretty new when it comes to GTK theme configuration files.
