Hi,
I have an unlocked and rooted Verizon Galaxy Nexus running 4.0.4 with Build # IMM76K. I'd like to get Jelly Bean on my phone. I found the following thread over at XDA but I'm a little confused.
[REF] [HOW-TO] [GSM & CDMA] Official Google OTA update URLs -- Latest: JRO03C 4.1.1 - xda-developers
Since it's Verizon, do I have to use mysid?
I need to return my nexus to where I bought it because it is faulty, but i need to put the original os back on any ideas where I can get it?
the original build number was: Imm76k.i9250xwld2 which is apparently "yakjuxw" running 4.0.1 (i think)
the build number now is JRO03C or yakju running 4.1.1
I have been told that it wont matter if i don't do this, as they are both official
Now that Verizon is pushing out the Android 4.0.4 update for their version of the Galaxy Nexus, Google has posted the IMM76K factory restore image. This image will allow those who have flashed custom software on their phones to restore their device’s original factory firmware… basically a way to get your phone back to stock in case things got a bit screwy.
Earlier today we told you that a lucky XDA member received a Jelly Bean OTA update for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus. You can download the test build and install it yourself, but you have to go back to stock (build IMM76K) to make it happen.
Yes folks, the time is finally here. Verizon has officially begun to roll out the latest 4.0.4 update for the Galaxy Nexus. You rooted users are lucky and don’t have to wait for the OTA to hit your device because the amazing developer named Droid Th3ory already has a nice little flashable package for you.

I was hoping someone here might be able to help me with my Galaxy Nexus. My Mac, PC, or Linux box won't recognize my phone anymore. I've tried multiple battery pulls, cords, driver updates(Windows 7), an have wiped the phone.
I want to build a linaro optimized build of stock JROOR0 or whatever the number was again for GALAXY NEXUS TORO. I know how to compile and build a rom. is it as easy as syncing with a repo?
Late last week, Brint Kriebel, a device maintainer with CyanogenMod, made a preliminary build of CM10 available for Galaxy Nexus phones. Kriebel indicates he has been using the build for a couple weeks now as his daily driver on his Verizon Galaxy Nexus and most hardware functions work properly. It is an AOSP build, so Google apps are not included.
New evidence has surfaced suggesting that Google’s upcoming version of Android may not be too far off.
