Hi there
I just bought an Toshiba Satellite C855-1UT laptop and I installed ubuntu 12.10, but the wireless doesn't work. Does anyone knows where to find wireless driver for it?
Thanks
I have a Toshiba Satellite L645 laptop. I installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS alongside with Windows 7. At first, everything worked fine. But today my Ubuntu system has a problem. It detects every wireless network in the area except my own. I found that my wireless network is 'hidden', although I didn't do anything with its settings at all.
Hello all,
So, earlier today, I got Ubuntu 10.10 installed. Hooray! Unfortunately, my wireless doesnt work. I'm connected to my router, but web pages wont load.
I thought to myself, maybe Ubuntu needs to update. So I lugged my computer out to the router itself and okugged my computer in. I went into update manager and let it do its thing. It was PAINFULLY slow. I had a less than 100 b/s.
hi im new to this ubuntu stuff but i use windows 7 and yesterday i downloaded the 64 bit version of ubuntu 9.10 and dual booted to it by mounting the iso with poweriso...and it installed fine but i cant connect to any internet....wen i hit the network connections tab in the top right it says wired connections in gray and then it says no connections below it and thats it it doesnt even show any wir
I have two Toshiba Laptops. I installed Ubuntu 13.04 on my laptop and it works flawlessly. I loved it so much that I decided to install it on my wifes Toshiba Satellite A305D-S6848. I installed it fine but after install I noticed two things, the first thing was that it seems to lag and not be very snappy like my other laptop (which is only slightly higher specs).
I have an extra laptop that didn't have a legit copy of windows 7 on it so I thought I'd give Ubuntu a try on that.
So I got it all installed using the Windows Installer that they provide, and after it was installed I used the OS-uninstaller tool to delete windows 7 all together. But the one thing I forgot to do was to change/edit/fix the boot thing to where it will boot to Ubuntu automatically.
Hey guys. I recently installed Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit alongside Windows XP on my 5 year old gateway desktop. It's not much of a computer but it runs fine. Previously, I had been using a Netgear WG111 Wireless with Windows XP and it worked great. I've spent the past few hours reading threads on how to connect this adapter to my wireless network and nothing I've seen seems to work.
Hi guys,
my wife has a Toshiba Satellite L500-1XC. I installed 10.04 on the machine when we bought it last year and it's worked fine ever since.
On Friday I ditched my Sky ADSL package (which we never had any problems using) and moved over to BT's Infinity, but I'm having problems with the WiFi.
The laptop can see the router. I can connect to the router.
Hi Gang,
I have an older Toshiba laptop - a Satellite Pro 6100 - that I've just converted to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Everything seems to work just find except the wireless 802.11 connection.
My wired connection is working just fine.
I enable wireless in the network connections menu and I see a list of the local wireless networks.
