No wireless conection in Satellite 850C 11L (Toshiba)

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi, I have just installed Fedora 17 in my Toshiba Satellite 850C 11L PSKCCE 64 bit laptop, and mi wlan doesn't connect. I think that O.S doesn't recognize my Realtek RTL8723AE LAN 802.11N PCI-E NIC. I've downloaded the following driver from realtek rtl_92ce_92se_92de_8723ae_linux_mac80211_0006.0514 .2012 and "r8101-1.023.00tar.bz2" but I do not know if they are correct and how I have to install them. Sorry if I write something wrong, but it is my first time with Fedora, and with Linux as well. I have already read a topic with the same problem as mine, but the thread was not res (HowTos)

Im just trying to install ubuntu on a new computer. I installed ubuntu 12 but did not recognize the wireless device. It is a realtek 8723.

I installed Ubunto 12.04 onto a brand new Toshiba Satellite C850 64 bit laptop. Wlan does not work, Tries to connect, gives up after some time. $Windows7 works 100%.

There appears to be a problem with the driver. The actual hardware is a rtl8188ce chip.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L305-SP6944C, Pentium Dual Core 2.16, 2GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, DVD-RAM UJ880AS, display 15.6 TFT widescreen, ethernet Realtek RTL8101E/RTL8102E PCI Express, WLAN Realtek RLT8187, Opensuse 11.2 and KDE 4.3.1.

My Mom bought a laptop last year, it was a low end laptop. It's a Toshiba Satellite C650 I think.

I notice that once the laptop has been idle for awhile, the wireless internet disables, and I have to restart it to get it working again.

The laptop is set up the same as the rest of the computers, and non of the others have any problem with it.

I’ve just install Windows XP on my friend’s laptop Compaq 510, but he lost the CD driver. If you have the same problem, lost the CD driver of Compaq 510, here you can download the driver for your Compaq 510.
