Hi,
I had this problem since a while and hoped that it would have been solved by now:
Hi,
I have a Dell Latitude D620 running up-to-date 9.10 Kubuntu. I have a port replicator that has an SPDIF coaxial port, which I connect to my amp. But I dont get digital sound...
First, it was no wireless (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2017612), which has not been fixed yet ](*,)
Now, my SOUND does not work! I get the bongo sounds when the login screen comes up, and it works fine in Windows Vista, but not in 12.04. ](*,)
When I type:alsamixer
It shows nothing is muted. It's set to 100% (high).
I've done an exhaustive search for a solution. Any links or information regarding how to get HDMI sound to work will be greatly appreciated.
