Right after I installed F12 on my desktop (using KDE), System Settings showed 4-5 audio devices.
At the beginning, sound wasn't working, so I promoted the Intel audio device to the top of the list and then I got audio.
Next login, the system complained that there were unmanaged audio devices and I chose to keep the configuration (or something like that...).
Hi!
I'm trying to extract an audio CD out into m4a (AAC) files using GStreamer based applicatiions (sound-juicer & rhythmbox) under Fedora 17.
I've installed all GStreamer plugins from both official and RPMFusion repositories.
When I try to extract the audio CD, I get the error: "Internal data flow error" in both applications.
Anyone else's had the same issue?

I'm trying to burn some audio CDs using xfburn and I get an errormessage.ID3 tag demuxer is missing.
You do not have a decoder installed to handle this file.
Probably you need to look at the gst-plugins-* packages

Hi all,
I'm trying to build rhythmbox from source to have a go at adding an extra feature.
Hey guys,
I did a clean install of 12.10, when I open Sound Settings in gnome the only device in the list is "Dummy Output", and sound is not working.
Sound worked fine out of the box in 12.04
I ran alsamixer, it says my card is "HDA Intel", and chip is "Realtek ALC880".
Just wondering where or how to install all the audio codecs? I installed a music player called clementine and can't play anything because it keeps spamming me with GStreamer plugin not found. I already installed gmstreamer but still the same problem, for windows I always used klite codecs, is there an equivalent installer of that for linux?
I have two different sound devices for output:
"Internal Audio Analog Stereo" for headphones
"High Definition Audio Controller Digital Stereo (HDMI)" for speakers
For example: if I open a music player and start a song, it plays out fine from speakers. But when I try to control volume it controls "Internal Audio Analog Stereo" instead of HDMI.

This is odd because skype has been working just fine for about 3 months now. So I started searching around the web for solutions or upgrades that may be needed.
