Specifically, I want to run this:

I run a Hyper-V server running several Hyper-V VMs. I was wondering if there is any way for me to manage
the Hyper-V server itself (just Hyper-V role, not the rest of the server box) and
the Hyper-V VMs (like connecting into them)
via Mac OS?
I'm on Mac OS 10.8 on my main laptop. From what I've been seeing the Hyper-V management tools are all Windows based.
I'm setting up a test "server" on my laptop with Hyper-V. When I go to install from an MSDN ISO I have two choices for standard edition. SERVERSTANDARD or SERVERSTANDARDV.
Googling gives me lists of cracked windows keys, but one site claims that SERVERSTANDARDV is the non Hyper-V flavor. I assume that doesn't contain the Hyper-V server, but wold be safe for a Hyper-V client?
i just installed a ubuntu 12.04 server on a 2008 R2 Hyper-V server and all is fine (networking/storage ...). There is just one thing, when i halt my linux (using "sudo halt"), i can see on the console that the system is halted but the vm status on hyper-v is still "started".
Im lost and desperate. I have been running with a setup where i have a ubuntu server running in hyper-v. My windows server running hyper-v has two network cards. my internet is coming in to one of them and the other is hooked up with a switch. I then direct both to the ubuntu-server running in hyper-v.
What is needed in the tfs 2010 build agent, to build .net 4.5 projects, in tfs 2008 we had to set the MSBuildPath property, but the configuration seems to be different in 2010.

I'm trying to connect to Windows 2003 server's share using ipv6 address from Windows Server 2008.
I use ipv6-literal.net conversion as described on http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa385353.aspx (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/oldnewthing/archive/2010/09/15/10061950.aspx)
I see the error "A duplicate name exists on the network".
Why does it occur?
I have read from numerous sources that Hyper-V 2012 does not allow all packets from a physical NIC to be forwarded to a virtual machine. My situation is described in the pic below where I want all packets to be forwarded to the VM from a physical NIC. The issue is the hyper-v extensible switch filter blocks all non-broadcast traffic.
