Does anyone know how one might allow their cell phone to use the internet connection of a PC through the USB cable? When i plug in my phone (T-Mobile Shadow)(I know windows ) and check network connections, the phone is registered as Auto eth1 and my network connection for the PC connected to the internet is labeled Auto eth0. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hi...I am new ubuntu user. NM reports that my wireless connection has been established, but I am not able to connect to internet. I am not even able to ping any of my DNS servers...not even to my gateway (192.168.1.1).
My wired connection works fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried to find relevant information in the forums, but nothing seems to work for me. I have tried disabling ipv6, setting a static ip, but no go.

Does this phone require you to have the data connection on constantly in order to be able to send/receive pics by text? I am not able to send/receive pictures by text unless I have the data connection on.
I have two Ubuntu machines. Both have openssh-client and openssh-server installed on them. ssh-ing from machine G (fresh Ubuntu 11.10 installation) to machine K works great.
