No GUI after updates

Here's how I got into -- and out of -- this mess:Initially, I ran:  pacman -Syu --ignore filesystem && pacman -S filesystem --force && pacman -S chakra-initThe chakra-init sync failed due to conflicts -- I don't recall conflict descriptions. Afterwards, I ran (foolishly, as it turns out) 'pacman -Syu', which resulted in system upgrade. It was when booting thereafter that KDE failed to start.The repair turned out to be quite simple. At the command prompt, I su'd and started kdm manually. KDE star (HowTos)
