I'm using an EVDO usb Modem. It works perfectly fine for few times. But now on wards when ever I try to connect it shows not enabled in status . I tried to enable it by ticking "Enable Mobile Broadband" but still it shows not enabled but that option gets a checked(tick) mark. And when ever I restart my system "Enable Mobile Broadband" option autamatically unchecked. Any help please
In Wheezy and Waldorf network manager does not connect 3G mobile broadband automatically after login like it did in Squeeze and Statler. Setting "Enable Mobile Broadband" is unticked after reboot. The best workaround I've found so far is in an Ubuntu bug report.
I am able to establish a mobile broadband connection but I still don't have access to internet. The mobile broadband works without any issues from Windows 7 on the same machine.
I configured the mobile broadband connection in the unity network manager.
I have a Dell studio 1558 laptop. I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 in my laptop. Previously, i have installed 10.04 version. The mobile broadband was working properly in Ubuntu 10.04, but once I installed the new 10.10 version, the mobile broadband is not working.
When I connect my mobile phone, it is detected, and I can create a new connection.
Hi everyone,I am trying to install Arch, but I need an internet connection. To connect to the internet, I need to get my USB Mobile Broadband working. But, unfortunately, while wvdial seems to successfully connect to my Mobile Broadband (according to terminal output anyway), it acts as if it is not connected.Pinging fails and indicates no internet connection.
I have just installed 10.04 LTS on an eeepc.

Hi all!
I also have this problem but my internet connection is Mobile Broadband (through a wireless modem HSDPA), not eth0.
In the past, I have used USB and/or built-in wireless broadband devices that the system detected (I assume) and set up the software appropriately at install time.
I have a netbook and after setting everything up, I later added a bluetooth dongle which it uses easily. I was able to connect to my phone without trouble... or at least it appears to.
hi,
i'm thinking if one can use mobile phones to connect to the internet on a computer(laptop, desktop) then why not use any broadband connection to connect a mobile phone to the internet.
1) is it possible ?
2) if yes, then what do i need to do ?
3) if no, why not ?
i have at home
