Despite Microsoft’s Xbox Kinect and Sony’s Playstation Move, Nintendo’s original motion sensing Wii is still a force to be reckoned with, as is Nintendo’s main mascot Mario, whose “Super Mario All-Stars” 25th Anniversary Edition is set to come down under, probably sooner rather than later, but will the Red Wii and DSi XL follow too?

Step aside, touchscreens. A simple iPod-sized gadget promises to add Minority Report or Iron Man-style motion sensing control to any desktop or notebook computer -- all for $70.

Those who haven't had fun with a Wii yet, thinking them too kiddie, won't have to fork out for a new Xbox as the motion sensing technology will soon be on your desktop or TV

Nintendo has unveiled its newest games console and the successor to the Wii - The Wii U.

The Nintendo Wii U launches on November 18 with the support of 23 games.

The DSi XL is the supersized hand-held gaming device from Nintendo.  Launching next month Nintendo are hoping to grab a whole new demographic under their influence.  Today Nintendo Australia announced the DSi XL pricing.

The much-hyped motion sensing PS3 controller is set to go on sale in a few months for $70, as Sony works to fend off the Wii and Xbox Slim threats.

While I type this on my Motion I am simultaneously listening to Iheart Radio

on the Motion- loud and clear.

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 with Motion 3.2.12

When I start motion from the command line using sudo motion All is good [0] Processing thread 0 - config file /usr/local/etc/motion.conf [0] Motion 3.2.12 Started [0] Motion going to daemon mode

When I auto start motion at startup and do tail -f /var/log/syslog I can see the error message motion: [1] ffopen_open err
