NICTA, Australia's ICT Research Centre of Excellence, is establishing a bioelectronics laboratory in Melbourne. Its first project will be to develop the electronics needed for the 'bionic eye' retinal implant.
So I dropped my Bionic and demolished the screen. I've been looking on Craigslist/E-bay and have found a couple pretty good deals on used phones to get a replacement. However, my question is: Can I simply swap sim cards from my old Bionic to the new Bionic and keep all my contacts/make a smooth transition? Thanks!
The Android 2.3.4-powered Droid Bionic by Motorola is the company's fastest smartphone yet, and it runs on Verizon's LTE network, the fastest 4G service in the U.S. Although one pays dearly for the Bionic's blazing speed, both in price and in poor battery life, the Bionic will more than compensate for those seeking top performance, says this review....
A few people have complained that the other bionic forum has gotten way off topic. While that may be so, we're having a good, fun conversation there. But, there continues to be contention sometimes. So, to stay civil and avoid name calling, I'm creating this thread. This thread is to be used solely for bionic jb news. If you have news, please post it here, and nothing else.
Ok.. I am an admited NOOB and have officially reached the frustration mark in trying to root my bionic. I've been to a ton of threads from different places and get confusing and outdated info so I thought I'd give it a shot here. Here is what i'm experiencing..
I have tried to root my Bionic using SuperOneClick, Motofail, etc. SuperOneClick gets hung up at step 5 and then stops.
I've held off rooting my Bionic & putting an ICS Rom on it in favor of waiting for the OTA ICS update, but we're coming to the end of Q3 & I'm starting to wonder when that will happen. Anyone know if ICS is in soak testing for Bionic yet?
With I imagine the majority of the Bionic owners having bought their Bionic at launch (as Moto dropped a few phones about a month later), most of us will be up for the phone upgrade within the next 6 weeks or so.
I am getting a refurb Bionic (they still have them) due to data drops and a few other issues. Apparently the rumor about Verizon being out of Bionics and replacing them with other phones is untrue. This will be my third Bionic.
I would like to be able to have a painless re installation process.
