Hi,Can someone guide me how to build network card bonding. [by vinodhkkp]
I get this error when the bonding module loads
error inserting '/lib/modules/220.127.116.11-174.fc12.i686.PAE/kernel/drivers/net/bonding/bonding.ko': -1 Unknown symbol in module
bonding: Unknown symbol ndisc_build_skb
bonding: Unknown symbol in6_dev_finish_destroy
bonding: Unknown symbol ndisc_send_skb
I have a computer with two network cards.
From what I understand, I can use bonding to achieve greater throughput, so I followed this tutorial:
Till now, I've only managed to make the bonding work with mode 802.3ad. Any other mode just doesn't work.
My server has only two Ethernet interfaces, but I need to up four bonding groups and put them to four VLANs.
What is the best way to do it:
Bonding over VLAN
VLAN over bonding
PS:Also I need to set user-defined names to bonding interfaces.
As I understand it, bonding brings among other benefits the ability to increase the network speed between two machines in a LAN.
Bonding [...] means combining several network interfaces (NICs) to a single link, providing either high-availability, load-balancing, maximum throughput, or a combination of these.

I have bonding configured on two serve
Bonding mode is always load balancing, unable to change to 4.
1- installed ifenslave-2.6
dpkg -l | grep ifen
ii ifenslave-2.6 1.1.0-19ubuntu5 Attach and detach slave interfaces to a bonding device
2- configured the eth1, eth3 and bond0 in /etc/network/interface and /etc/modprobe.d/bonding.conf.
echo bonding >> /etc/modules
sudo modprobe bonding
I need to enable Ethernet Bonding on three systems, connected together via switch.
I'm new to this website.
My name is Jeongsook Park.
Today, I'm here to ask a question about network bonding with alb mode.
(adaptive load balancing)
I tried to test NIC bonding with two servers.
They are on CentOS 6.3 and have 2 NIC cards(igb)of each.
But the result was a little bit disappointing.
I think that system configuration is consistent with Linux Ethernet Bonding Driver HOWT
I would like to ask for help in setting up bundles bridge over bonding to work with KVM. Idea is this, there are two network interfaces eth0 and eth1 on a machine that is used as a host for virtual machines.
I'm running 11.2 on a Dell PowerEdge1850.
In the normal kernel, bonding is working just fine on the two ethernet ports. When I reboot into the Xen Kernel, I get the following error at boot:
FATAL: Error inserting bonding ... : Unknown symbol in module...
dmesg shows several Unknown symbols. In the end, the module is never loaded.
