Hi! Trying to set up an Eris for my youngest, but have run into a strange issue. When trying to activate the phone, goes thru the 1st 2 screens (language, activate), but after pushing the activate button, the screen goes blank and calls Verizon to activate. But there is no dialer screen to push the buttons to enter his phone number.
So I bought a used phone from CL. We met at the Sprint store and ESN was clean. Fast fwd to today from a week ago. Gave it as a gift to the wifey and she went to activate it from another store. It was still on that persons account. No worries. With lots of back and forth he went to the store and removed the phone from his account.
Hello everyone, I have a problem. I bought a rooted Evo with the 4 Kornerz (4.1.2v) Rom. I tried to activate the phone and Sprint told me that they can't activate rooted phones. Does anyone know how to activate a rooted phone? Is there a way to temporarily unroot the phone? Do I have to go back to stock? He used Revolutionary and the boot key to root the phone it was a 2.3.3v.
3 Things: (1) Screen unlock via Google does not work; (2) I do not know my Alternate Password thus I cannot de-activate Finger Scan; (3) Locking and Re-Setting Password via Android Manager does not work. In fact, this app does not even recognize my phone (same is true for app + access via the web).
I got a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 from ebay awhile back. It was like all new and didn't come with a sim card so I was stuck on the "Please insert sim card" text for awhile. Then, like an eight year old little fool with no knowledge of phones, I got a microsim card from Simple Mobile. All was good in the world until I got past the select language screen.
