http://forums.androidcentral.com – So I press the power button to put the nexus 7 to sleep. When I open the cover it is sometimes back on the google lock screen. The lock Screen stays on until I hit the power button again to put it back to sleep. It's drained my battery several times. What can I do to stop it from doing it again? (HowTos)

My nexus s is giving me trouble. While phone is on, keeps waking and sleeping on its own randomly like the power button is being pressed.

If i try to press the power button myself to put it to sleep sometimes it brings up the power off menu instead (as if I've held it), and the rest of the time it does nothing.

I don't know if this is a bug or not so I am not sure how to proceed. :confused:

I run Fedora Linux 3.6.7-5.fc18.i686 with the KDE desktop v 4.9.3.

In 'System Settings' - 'Power Management' - 'AC Power', 'Button events handling'; I have it set to 'sleep' when the laptop lid is closed and it does this OK.

I'm running Ubuntu 12.04, and my laptop* won't wake from sleep/suspend/hibernate. (Is sleep the same thing as suspend?) I'm not even sure which of these things it's doing. When I am done working for the day, I lock my screen (Control-Alt-L).

Been noticing it on all variants of JB ROM: rasbean jelly, AOSP, OTA. When you lock the screen and expect it to turn off, it goes blank then flashes on just a sec before finally turning off for good. It doesn't matter how you lock it: could be using your power button, screen off and lock app, or the sleep button in notification widgets.

Hi, can anyone assisr with advise on how to lengthen the time before a phone goes to lock out with a HTC One XL.

i have own samsung galaxy y pro duos GT B5512 and question is that could anybudy tell me about is there any other way to unlock the device without pressing power (when screen goes off) button, i mean to say like samsung galaxy y s5360 where we can press home button to stay screen on? I was wondering whether anyone else has experienced these strange issues with the lock screen.

1. When I press the lock (sleep) button on the side of the phone, the screen turns off, but often when I put the phone down straight afterwards it comes back on by itself. There are no notifications, messages, battery alerts etc either, it just unlocks and sits on the home screen.
