http://www.mobileread.com – Hi everybody - so happy to have found this forum. And hoping you can advise me. I've borrowed a Nook HD for inspection and finding it oh-so closed down. But I love it for borrowing library books as I can sideload them from my PC and use them with the Nook reader, which I like much better than the Overdrive reader. It seems that the Nexus 7 or Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 are more open devices primarily for downloads but I cant seem to put a finger on the reading aspect, which was why I started this hunt in the first place. But I'm liking the other uses it would offer. So, my questions are the (HowTos)

Installing Nook on PE 29 weeks 3 days ago

I am trying to install the Nook reader on my PE, which I rarely use for anything except taking notes and the occasional web browse/email, but we are going on a trip and I want to stockpile some reading material.

I've forgotten how an app should download. The Nook said it would install shortly, and then it said it did install but - where should it show up? I don't see it anywhere.

Barnes Noble is shipping a cheaper version of its Android-based Nook e-reader without a 3G modem. Except for broadband, the $149 Nook Wi-Fi offers all the features of the original Nook, now reduced in price to $199 and called the & Nook 3G,& and both versions now have free access to AT T's nationwide Wi-Fi network....

All, I'm new here and recently got a Nexus 7 and installed the Nook app since I had the first Nook. The problem I have is that after I transferred all my non-B&N books to the device certain books show up multiple times in the library. One shows up 27 times. Any ideas why this might be and if there is a way I can get it to only show up 1 time. Thank you for your help.

Can anyone verify the ability to install the Nook app on the new fire HD? I doubt you can install it from the store but has anyone side loaded it yet? I get in theory why Amazon does this but it makes it really hard to get away from the Nook platform.

I'm thinking of getting my wife one but she is deeply rooted in B&N because it was the first reader / only reader she has owned.

I'm considering getting a nexus 10. I'm curious about how well this works as an e-book reader. Does the Nexus have an app that allows you to manage e-books and organize them?

I currently have several nook books but I'd be willing to convert them to another format if I can find an app that suits my needs.

Hi I'm new to this forum and new to the nook world. My parents recently bought my son a nook hd for Xmas and he really likes it but as I help him go thru it we see there isn't a whole lot you can do with it and there doesn't seem to be many apps that he can use.

Hi. Does anyone know how to sideload ebook you already have in Epub or Pdf format to your Nook App on your Android phone?

I have managed to do it for the Kindle App but unfortunately nothing shows up in Nook app.

Hello. I bought a refurbished Simple Touch from ebay and I would like to hack it to access my Google account and to install a better PDF reader.

The E-Ink based Nook Simple Touch and Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight will be the first two devices in the initial launch in the UK.
