Hi everyone, I am in a very stressful situation right now. Sorry if there is another thread that might answer my question, but I am very desperate. I just installed Clemsyn's Elite Kernel to my Nexus 7 which is running 4.2.1. I was stuck on the boot animation for a long time, and then the screen cut out. I cannot boot it up, and I am very scared.
One of the biggest advantages of owning an Android device is having the ability to customize not only the interface, but the system settings itself. Part of that includes flashing a custom kernel, which can bring all sorts of enhancements to a variety of levels. Such settings include specifying voltages, underclock or overclock speeds of the CPU, custom color settings.
Now that a 7-inch, Nexus branded tablet has appeared at the FCC with some updated specs, are you interested in getting a new one? I'm pretty excited as this was exactly what I was waiting for to go full on Google across my devices. I've already ordered a Nexus 4, I currently own a Samsung Chromebook, and now a new Nexus 7 is just around the corner.
I just got a nexus 7 and am impressed with the pure android system with no Sammy uis and was wondering how much the nexus 4 is? I looked on Google but it didn't show a price. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. I had a s3 and I really liked it but now I'm thinking of going to the nexus. Only thing that worries me is it being an lg I've had bad experiences with lg phones.
My screen glitches (think of TV static, but striped and colored similar to the background image) about 5 seconds after booting into android (after the nexus logo loads.
The tablet is fully functional doing the 5 seconds. After that, the screen glitches like above, and I can hear a faint sound from the nexus 7 that grows in pitch until it bursts and the device shuts down.
It is on my galaxy nexus. There is forum for that, but booth nexus and nexus 4 have same OS, i think it can be solved here.
Since I have nexus i use all stock. Therefore sms app too. And I was not able to send sms only to one number. I cane recive sms, call and receive calls, but I can't send sms. I installed Handcent sms, and now I can send sms to that number with no problems at all.

Can anyone help,, I've got the elite kernel on my Nexus 7 and tried to over clock it to 1600 but it keeps reseting, to the standard 1300...any suggestions..??
Yesterday I got a Nexus 7, but I haven't been able to use it yet. After letting it charge for a while, I hold the power button to boot, followed by a white Google logo on a black screen. After roughly 16 seconds, the screen goes blank and repeats the process. I am able to access the menu that shows the Android on it's back, with the body open with blue buttons.
I have galaxy nexus and I have another phone that I use manly for music and called to certain people but its not a Android. When I want to send something over to the nexus from a device will find it and receive it with a problem. But if I want to send something from the nexus to a device its nearly impossible. How can I solve this?
