Asus dock not working 14 weeks 2 hours ago

I just got my nexus 7 this week and my Asus dock just came in the mail today. Much to my disapointment, I plugged it in and it doesn't charge or get audio through the dock. I read somewhere that 4.1.2 doesn't support docking but I verified I have 4.2.1. I don't get prompted about using the dock for audio like the YouTube video I saw either. I'm stumped. Am I missing something?

Am wondering if there are any landscape docks for the CDMA Verizon nexus? I would really like to use the pogo pins. I know about the gsm dock that was 90 bucks and the mods to make it fit the CDMA nexus but I don't want to do that. I'm really looking for something for my night stand that will charge and allow me to listen to music even if it is out of the nexus speaker.

If you’ve been trying to find a great dock for your Nexus 4, the search may be over. German industrial engineer David Hawig has introduced his Andock, which is more of an entertainment hub than a dock on Startnext. The dock cradles the Nexus 4 horizontally and provides an HDMI out, NFC, and a fan for CPU cooling.

Recently purchased the dock for my desk and my phone with cover will not fit with the insert on the dock removed. Any suggestions? Looking for a case that covers all four corners and is thin.

Idea for desk/bedside dock 1 week 5 days ago

So, I have this dock which is for a Samsung Infuse that I actually use for charging my LG Nexus 4. Works great for the Nexus 4. Well, I put my brand new Oppo Find 5 in there and it fits great except that the micro USB port is centered in the middle of the dock which lines up great for my N4, but obviously not my Oppo Find 5 since the micro USB is offset to the right on the Oppo.
