I am writing a Java program where I want the Nexus 7 to act as a USB host for a custom USB device. It would seem I need an OTG cable, but the Nexus 7 has a micro B type connector. It is my understanding that an OTG connector is type A, which will not fit into a micro B slot. The documentation for the Nexus 7 says it can serve as a USB host. Is there a micro B type OTG cable?
Device rooted - stock ROM - stock kernel
I was harmlessly playing a game (Nexus 7 connected to PC using USB cable at this point), when the screen started flickering black and white making popping noises then a loud pop and it went off.
Finally decided to try pairing my PS3 controller to my Nexus.
When I connect the cable to the controller it is supposed to turn on and then connect to the device, as I've read in many topics and seen in youtube videos.
Hi all,
I couldn't find any topic on the subject (though I may not have looked well enough).
Is it possible to save a file from the Nexus 7 to a USB stick with a USB OTG cable and a rooted Nexus 7 using stickmount and a file explorer?
What is the correct method to transfer files between Ubuntu running on my Nexus 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 running on my PC using a USB cable?
I am not asking about the Bluetooth or Wifi method for transferring files.
My Nexus 7 battery takes forever to charge. And this is even when I use my stock cable to the wall charger. I know it takes around 3-4 hours to charge it from dead to full but for some reason mine is only HALFWAY full at the 4 hour mark and I usually have to leave it on the charger the whole night/day for it to be fully charged.
I have no other defects on this product except for this one.
Are there any ways to transfer data without wifi or cloud based services from my Ubuntu Desktop PC to my Nexus 7 (tablet) which is running Ubuntu and NOT Android.
Or is there any other solution to this problem, besides using memory unit and OTG-cable?
Is there a way to mount the tablet when it is connected via cable?
as the title describes I purchased a used nexus on ebay (t-mobile). The seller was very sure of it.
The first 2 days was ok. The next day, while in bootloader (was going to unlock with adb/fastboot) it turns off and wouldn't come back on.
The last thing I did was: find out the usb cable i had wouldn't work. I swapped cables (tried it on my own nexus first.
Help people, I have the nexus 4 for over 3 weeks and great but a few days ago when it was nearly full battery (around 80% or so) suddenly shutted down and I couldn't turn it back on until after 1 min or so plugging in. I did not care about it the first time ...
