Xubuntu 12.10 is out! Xubuntu is a Ubuntu based GNU/Linux distribution that focuses on XFCE desktop environment.
The Xubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) Linux distribution has been launched along with its older brother Ubuntu 13.04.
Just like its older brother Ubuntu, the Xubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) Linux distribution will launch on April 25. It doesn't have as many changes as Ubuntu, but it's still a nice addition.All the Ubuntu 13.04-based Linux distributions will feature the latest stable branch of Linux kernel, 3.8.x.
As the title says, a very simple question;
What is the difference between a Xubuntu and an Ubuntu with XFCE (Xubuntu-Desktop packages) installed?
Is there only a difference in installed packages and default applications, or are there other differences as well?
And would there be any reason to install Ubuntu with the Xubuntu-Desktop packages rather than Xubuntu itself?
Thanks.
