I have list all options for wallpapers. When I long press the screen, the option has disappeared, and I now have a black background. I have gone into settings and tried to set it there, but though the wallpaper option is in it, it does not take, live or still. It happened when I installed the app Multipicture Live Wallpaper.
I've tried setting two different wallpapers, but had no luck. When I press the home icon down there I can see the wallpaper I had set to, as well as when I am on the password screen. But, when I press the same button to go back from the home screen, I see a black background.
Hello,
When i have a wallpaper whit black on top of the screen, then i have a small black line on top were normally the status bar ends, so thats a half centimeter from the top screen.
Its really difficult to see and its only when i have a really black background,
When there are other collors then the black line is gone so its only with really black.
Maybe that its normall
Thank you
Best regar
There's another way to make a matrix wallpaper with easier choice for colours etc. Grab the app called cmatrix, set a black background in a fullscreen terminal and run cmatrix with colours and speed settings you want. I didn't set a black background but here's a shot of it fullscreen in urxvtc:I used cmatrix -a -b -C blue

Let's say I have a theme I really love except that the background for apps/widgets is plain black and I want background to be the same as the wallpaper. Given that there is no setting for this, I assume I will need to learn how to open theme, replace plain background with wallpaper and reassemble theme.
Hello.
Yesterday before leaving work I did some updates on my ubuntu (the update manager popped out, I clicked Install and off it went). After it finished the system asked for a reboot, but I just turned it off, since I was leaving the office.
I have a LinearLayout in one of the activities as the main layout. I used Scrollview to encapsulated the LinearLayout. The Layout contains a fragment which displays a google map, but on scrolling it gave black background. I resolved the issue by using a transparent background inside a FrameLayout. The black background has gone, but during scrolling i get flickering black edges around the map.
i set a custom wallpaper background simply by right clicking on the image and selecting "set as background" but when i shut my computer off last night and turned it back on today, my desktop wallpaper was changed. it was a default plain blue color.
any idea why that happened?
this was the first time i shut my computer down since i installed ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
