SolusOS is a Debian-based distro that still uses Gnome2 as the desktop environment and it has gained a lot of attention of Linux users recently ( read my review for SolusOS ). 2 weeks ago, Burjans from com-sl.org sent me an interesting email about his interview with Ikey Doherty, the creator of SolusOS, about SolusOS and its future.

We are extremely sorry to announce today, October 24, 2013, that the SolusOS Linux project will close its doors and it will no longer be developed by its father, Ikey Doherty. "It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the closure of SolusOS. Simply put, there is no longer enough manpower to fulfil the vision.

Especially Ikey's Distribution.He was in the process of quite literally revamping the entire project with a new package manager, etceteral, after SolusOS Eveline went EOL.Apparently the work was far more complicated an undertaking than even he was capable of maintaining after most of the Community slowly ebbed off to other projects and such.Sad as far I'm concerned considering he knew it
