I'm running a Galaxy Note with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, unlocked. I got it three weeks ago, and not once have I managed to get Google Talk to log in... except when I'm using wifi. On wifi, it's totally fine. But try to use it on the data connection, and it just refuses to log in. No errors, no explanations... it just goes grey and nothing will happen.

Huawei 8653 av 2.3.6 - brand new and I'm learning how to work it. However, one thing I can't get to work "Talk". I open the app and it shows the list of Google contacts on-line, I click on my wife's entry and I get a keyboard - but no microphone. I can touch Dragon and speak my "text" message but I can't voice her. When she pulls up Talk she has a mic.

Ten heads are better than one, or so our friends at Google think as they have today unveiled that Google+ Hangouts will be replacing Google Talk as the embedded video chat service within Gmail.
I'm trying to get my domain to have the correct SRV records so I can use my personal XMPP server to communicate to others using Google Talk. However, after I set up the SRV records correctly, when trying to connect to my XMPP server with SSL, it states that my certificate is for talk.google.com. Not really sure what's going on here...
