Is it possible to install Chromium OS to loop device like what Wubi does to Ubuntu so that i can put the OS image in a NTFS partition.
My laptop ASUS N53 exactly has TWO boot buttons, and the second one was used to boot an small OS like Chrome OS in a very short time, but it can be replaced with any OS. What should I do to make a bootable chromium os image.
How do I mount a vmware vmdk file as /home on startup?
I have been using Ubuntu as a VMWare Guest. All My data resides on a single vmdk disk, which I mounted as /home in the VM using fstab. Now I want to move to an actual Ubuntu installtion for performance reasons (Installed with wubi under windows 7).
I am using VMware workstation with encrypted virtual hdd-s. I tried to use one of the vmdk files as an hdd on another virtual machine, but when I try to add them as an existing disk, I get the following error:
This disk may be used by an encrypted virtual machine.
Means I would lose all my data If the virtual machine is broken (lost the files or anything)?
While some of you may dismiss Chromebook as an incapable bare-bone laptop, the matter of fact is that sales of Chromebooks continue to soar while the rest of PC sales are plummeting. If you want to try out Google's Chrome OS powered Chromebook without purchasing Chromebook hardware, you can actually test-run Chromium OS as a virtual machine (VM).
