http://forums.opensuse.org – Hello everybody, I am totally new to Linux and just had my first "success". Messed up my multiboot system. Here is what happened: I had a triple boot XP on my Laptop, used XP boot.ini menue. Yesterday I bought openSUSE 11.2 as I am a bit fed up with MS / XP ;). To get free space, I removed XP by deleting its partiton from my HD (78GB free for SUSE). Suse Install worked perfectly well, Internet connectivity worked, access to my NAS worked just fine. But... When I rebooted, I ended up in Linux everytime, no choice for the boot menue. But I do need XP (still). So I thought the easiest way might be to install ACRONIS OS selector, which turned out as to be a real bad idea at the end. PC installed and loaded the OS selector, but cannot boot any OS now, neither XP, nor LINUX. Next I did was chatting with ACRONIS support. Long story short, after their recommended XP repair, PC doesn't boot at all >:( Before I am doing any more stupid things I thought it might be worthwhile to look for support here, as booting the SUSE from DVD and repairing from there could be an option. ( I hope :) ) Thanks a lot for reading through my misery J. (Distributions)
