New ZFS FS not seen on local zone

http://www.unix.com – Hi , I added a new fs to the global zone and also did the zonecfg to add the FS to the zone but finally I do not see the new "FS" on the local zone. Even in th e/etc/zones/zone.xml the fs and the correct directory is mentioned. Any Idea please ? (HowTos)

We have solaris 10 server that has the been re-installed with OS after OS got currupted. The old ZONE contents has been now restored from backup.Now when we try to check for the zones by listing command, I could find only global zone running. Kindly let me know how to install/configure the zone to make it visible in the list of zone.

Hi, I have installed few Veritas packages in my local zone. Prior to that, I had detached non-global zones. After successfull installation of veritas packages on global zone, I am attaching non-global zones with -u option, but stuck with one NGZ. One of the NGZ is having gsk7bas 7.0.4.38 while global zone is having gsk7bas 7.0.4.36.

Can advise on this:

Global zone running on solaris 10, & the local zones on top running on solaris 9, but we need to patch the solaris 9 local zones & also the solaris 10 global zone.

Which should be patched first to avoid any crash in case, first local zones followed by global solaris 10 or vice versa ?

there are few nas shares that would be mounted on the local zone. should i add an entry into the add an entry in zone.xml file so that it gets mounted automatically when the zone gets rebooted? or whats the correct way to get it mounted automatically when the zone reboots

Error when deleting DNS Zone 33 weeks 3 days ago

I am trying to delete 2 DNS zones from SAI that only appear in SAI and not in Windows DNS Manager.

When I try to delete either one, I get this error

Hello, I am trying to learn how to set up dns zones with named.

I created a zone (as attached) but I am sure I not written it correctly, because named will not start when it tries to load the zone. I have also attached the error message I received.
