New VMware Sales and Marketing Program Targets SMBs

http://www.thevarguy.com – With VMware (NYSE: VMW) Partner Exchange 2013 less than a week away, the vendor has rolled out a new sales and marketing program to help channel partners boost virtualization solution sales to the underserved SMB customer segment. The vendor’s Sales BYTES program offers sales tips along with communication and support guides tailored specifically to SMBs’ virtualization needs. And, the need is high, according to VMware’s data, which shows that 80 percent of SMBs haven’t yet virtualized, although virtualization is a top IT initiative for SMBs, encompassing some 75 percent of planning (IT news)
