Moments ago we told you all about the Sony Xperia U and Xperia P. These 2 devices are the latest additions to the Xperia NXT series (next generation smartphones from Sony). While the Xperia S is already shipping, we can expect to see the Xperia U and Xperia P sometime in the 2nd quarter of this year.
Sony has formally unveiled three new Xperia NXT family smartphones with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile processors inside.
Sony held their IFA press conference today and they just announced the Xperia T, Xperia V, and Xperia J. All three feature the same award-winning design that was first introduced with the Xperia arc and Xperia arc S. All three phones will feature Sony’s media applications.
We reported last week about Sony’s Xperia NXT series (S, P, and Sola models) coming to the US. Sony announced today that, along with the Xperia S and Xperia P, the Xperia U is now finally available, unlocked and SIM-free, in the States.
As a follow up to last week’s Xperia P Ice Cream Sandwich rollout, Sony Mobile today announced their 2011 Xperia line of phones will be getting new Android 4.0.4 firmware. Starting this week, the first phones to receive the update are the Xperia arc, Xperia arc S, Xperia neo, Xperia neo V, Xperia mini, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Xperia ray.
Recently, Sony came out with yet another Xperia smartphone - the sony xperia. This is a PlayStation certified device, which means that it has access to some PlayStation games. The smartphone has been projected as an entertainment device by Sony, emphasizing its music/video playback, faster processor and gaming capabilities.

Sony announced plans to rollout an over-the-air (OTA) update over the next few days for three devices to bring them up to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The devices include the Sony Xperia Go, Xperia U and Xperia Sola.
During MWC this year Sony made the world aware of the Xperia P and Xperia U with the Xperia Sola being announced a few weeks after. While initially released only in Asia they are now available across the globe. Slated as low to mid-range devices they’re appearing to round out Sony‘s 2012 line.
