New Problems Installing ATI-Catalyst driver in 12.04 LTS

i was trying to upgrade from r2 to r3, and that's what i've got:

Code: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree      Reading state information...

I am trying to install of ruby-gems below and errors appeared:

Code: E: Unable to locate package eventmachine

Code: E: Unable to locate package CFPropertyList

Code: E: Unable to locate package httparty

Code: E: Unable to locate package json

Code: E: Unable to locate package uuidtools

Code: E: Unable to locate package ruby-gems I am using Ubuntu 11.10 now!

I am installing pyVows as per stated in link http://heynemann.github.com/pyvows/#installing but it gives me error as-

$ sudo apt-get install libxslt-dev libxml2-dev libevent-dev Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Unable to locate package libxslt-dev E: Unable to locate package libxml2-dev E: Unable to locate package libevent-dev

I'm trying to install a proprietary driver from amd and it says that a version of fglrx is already installed and that i need to uninstall it first but when i try to invoke:

sudo apt-get remove --purge fglrx fglrx_* fglrx-amdcccle* fglrx-dev* xorg-driver-fglrx

i get:

When i go to download a lens or scope in trminal using the codes from http://www.noobslab.com/2012/01/install-important-lenses-in-ubuntu.html my computer says could not locate package

I want Contacts Lens Tomboy Lens YouTube Lens Books Lens and grooveshark lens

hi i m new to ubuntu and have installed ubuntu 13.04 i'm now trying to install svn i tried with the codes

sudo apt-get install subversion

but resulted in:

Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Unable to locate package subversion this is the same result for oyher packages....why is this error there and how do i overcome this

I have tried to install Ubuntu Accomplishments on my clean 12.10 install.

Following the installation instructions as outlined here After entering the final command

sudo apt-get install accomplishments-daemon accomplishments-viewer ubuntu-community-accomplishments ubuntu-desktop-accomplishments accomplishments-lens

I get the following unable to locate package

Reading package lists...

I am trying to install packages using apt-get, however, I am consistently getting an error reading unable to locate package.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?
