How do I go about removing the old f11 rpm stuff after an upgrade? I have several packages from fc11 that are newer than what is on the fc12 (probably because of updates), so several things still show up as fc11. Why isn't the fc12 updated at least to the newest or newer stuff in fc11?
Which is correct nvidia version please for 12.04 kernel 3.2.0-60-generic.
Problem: after updates unity recently reverted to 2d only.
Many attempts to purge, re-install nvidia driver, but no 3d

On my desktop PC I'm running F19 with the rpmfusion nvidia driver. The PC is booted daily. Sometimes the boot goes smoothly, but more often than not it hangs before the GUI comes up. If I reboot into "multi-user target" (formerly known as runlevel 3) and then issue "startx", the GUI always comes up. This has been going on for several weeks.
Pretty new to arch linux and having to find/install the correct driver for my graphics card. When I was setting everything up I installed an nvidia package (pacman -S nvidia), which I'm not sure if that's a very general driver or what. But I do see that I need https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/nvidia-173xx/ for my 560ti.
