this is my fresh f19 install.
after install, my grub menu theme is not appearing, just black console like screen.
i searched in google and found that it may caused by theme.txt having wrong entries or the /etc/default/grub having wrong path to the previous file.
i tried correcting this by pointing /usr/share/grub/themes/starfield/theme.txt in /etc/default/grub and then grub2-mkco
By default, Ubuntu boot loader grub doesn’t use any theme. You can customize the background and fonts by GUI tool Grub-Customizer, but it’s not beautiful enough. Here’s a simple guide installing Grub2 themes (background, logos, fonts, scroll bar, etc).
First, download themes. Search ‘grub’ on gnome-look.org, you can find many themes for grub2.
