Just checked my Gmail & got a shocker !
The new Gmail inbox with tabs for 'Primary Mail' 'Social' & 'Promotions'
While it was WOW !
Will it be able to do itz job in the long run??
That is the question!
I have the GMail app on my Samsung Galaxy S2. When I open it, I see a number in my Inbox, which would indicate to me that there are X number of emails in my Inbox. However, the app says "No new conversations" and I can find no way to get into my Inbox. I can get into my Spam folder, however.
A few days ago we showed you screenshots of a redesigned Gmail Android app that were leaked at an I/O session. An anonymous tipster sent some sloppy screenshots to some sites a few days ago, and now ryan_socio of the Verge (who was the first to leak that Google Babel was actually Hangouts) has confirmed the rumors.
My gmail app keeps giving me new e-mail notifications every time the number of unread items in my inbox changes. So say I have 4 unread message in my inbox, and I already cleared my gmail notification for the newest 4th e-mail, and say I go and read one of them on my laptop, so now I have 3 unread messages.
I have had by HTC desire for over a year and always had my gmail account linked up and always been fine. I noticed yesterday it just said 'no mail' and the inbox was empty which is not right as I always have 20 or 30 emails.
I have configured thunderbird (version 17) in Ubuntu 12.04 to use with my gmail account but the inbox folder only shows messages up to November 2011. Every time i click "get mail" it fetches about 5 days worth of email messages, so if I want to get thunderbird up to speed I have to repeat this process numerous times.
