Each artist now has their own individual feed, instead of just one feed for everyone. This means you’ll have a lot more content to check out directly from your favorite artists. When you are playing a song, you can now check out that artist’s feed directly from playback! Your music-listening experience can be amplified by artist content without interruption. You can now comment within Facebook on the artists your frie (Software)

Hello again Birders, We’ve made some big improvements to the new Discover features in the app.  The friends list and following list are now much faster, and you can also see expanded artist images on the newly added artist pages.  We’re making lots of great changes to this part of the app, so be sure to keep updating. Hello fellow birders, We have some great news for you today — we’ve released 1.0 beta 1 to the Android Market! Songbird for Android is a intuitive way to browse and play your music on your Android phone or tablet. The now playing drawer gives you easy access to the currently playing song and controls.

I know there are a lot of Pandora fans out there. I personally prefer Slacker, but Pandora just turned it up a notch with the latest update. The first change is a complete redesign that is more ICS/Jelly Bean like. Next up is song history, which lets you review, rate, or bookmark previously played tracks.

Streaming music service Rdio, currently being trumped in North America by Spotify, probably needs to incentive its partners more, especially given the complains from labels and artists about the low monetization available on Spotify.

“Today I Discovered” is an ongoing project here at the Songbird Nest, to see what our product can do for us as regular people looking to discover great new music too!
