Hi everyone! I am a one week owner of a Samsung Galaxy S3, my FIRST android phone. I am in a steep learning curve from my Blackberry Bold.
I'm rather new to Android. I purchased this tablet a month ago and learning more about Android every day. I was ecstatic to get the Jellybean update, and after watching Samsung's teaser premium upgrade video, I saw it has the capability to send text messages. Now, here's the stupid question: Do I need an Android phone in order to use the Google Voice texting feature on the tablet?
The only two smartphones I've ever used are the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4. For various reasons I've decided to go with the Samsung Galaxy S3 (the iPhone 5 release did NOT impress primarily).
Anyway, I just bought my phone yesterday and there is a significant learning curve for this phone compared to the iPhone.
Do you remember that dual-boot Windows 8/Android beast that ASUS unveiled last June? Well it’s finally going to be released in North America during the second quarter for a starting price of $1,299. Sounds steep, but not when you consider what you’re getting for it.
The Transformer AiO (all-in-one) is the Transformer of all Transformers.
The claim that the Windows 8 learning curve "is going to be steep" should set off alarm bells in the heads of anyone thinking of deploying Microsoft's new OS in an enterprise environment.
I'm moving to France from the US. When I get there, I'll probably get a new Android phone (unless Win8 looks enticing enough).
My questions are...
- When I log onto this new Android phone with my same gmail address, and presumably be connected to France or Europe's Google Play, will I have access to ALL the apps I have now? Will some become unavailable to me? What about my purchased ones?
Hi - not sure if this is a post for a S2 forum or a VW Golf forum, but hopefully someone may be able to help. Until yesterday I connected my S2 to my incar bluetooth handsfree. The handsfree was factory fitted on my VW Golf and I used the buttons on the steering to wheel to make and receive calls.
Ubuntu Touch Preview for the SGH-T889 Note II
I have worked since Feb 22 to get the Android parts for the Ubuntu Touch preveiw to compile. I finally succeeded this morning. I am posting this so others that are interested in building Ubuntu Touch for the SGH-T889 can have a better starting point..
I was lucky to find this wonderful forum when I had encountered a problem with my HTC EVO 4G. I originally registered just to thank the person who helped a guy on a thread he started which I had the same situation. And I got a lot more.
I am still new to Android (Been using Windows mobile and Symbian) and I am grateful for all the stuff I am learning here.
