I might just ramble a little, but there is a point to it all ;)First a little about me.I've been a Linux user since about 2005, but just started using CrunchBang about a year ago. I distro hopped for several years before settling on Linux Mint main edition and LMDE as my distro's of choice. Since finding CrunchBang it has quickly become my distro of choice.
Since I am new I thought I would introduce myself. I am 32 and have been using Windows for 10 years. I currently live in the states. Utah to be particular. A year ago I took the plunge into Linux. I started with PCLinuxos and loved it. It was not fulfilling all of my needs and it was a heavy distro, so I went distro hopping. I landed on CrunchBang a few months ago and have not looked back.
A short while back, crunchbang was made available to users as an XFCE distro in addition to the openbox distro...And I LOVED the XFCE distro.... to me (and a few of my pals) it was theee best XFCE distro ever....
Hello. I'm a computer engineering college student from Arkansas.I've tried a ton of distros in the past 10 or so years, and some I've come to appreciate, but Crunchbang is so much better than the rest. I like the minimalism and default applications. I feel like #! is one of the few distros that is listening to what users want.
I started this thread because I thought some of you wondered how my very recent distro hopping went along; see this topic.Wanted to let you know I now solved this almost unsolvable issue with my sound (very loud pop upon shutdown/reboot). If you take a look here, you can see there's a fix for this issue at the Arch Forums. So, after trying Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora and #!

Hi there! I've been playing around with Crunchbang on an old server lately, and it's obiously a great desktop distro, but since it's Debian-based, and Debian's the most popular server distro right now, I'm curious if Crunchbang is just as good.
Hey there! My name is Alain and I am a Spaniard living in Orlando. I haven't been using linux all that long and I have hopped through several distros during the past year. Crunchbang is the best distro I have seen because after been a Mac user for a long time, I am tired of all the eyecandy. I have played around with my Crunchbang, and I peeked this forum very often.
