After switching to systemd, I started to use NetworkManager.service, I got connected to WIFI automatically at boot, but I got the following message when I run nmcli con:
** (process:4433): WARNING **: Could not initialize NMClient /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager: Method "GetAll" with signature "s" on interface "org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties" doesn't exist
Error: nmcli (0.9.6.4) and NetworkMana
Whenever I boot into Fedora 16 (KDE Spin), the network manager system tray icon is set to "M" and it says that NetworkManager startup required. I restart NetworkManager and everything seems to start working normally.
Recently, NetworkManager has stopped listing access points completely. In fact, VPNC config is not listed in my NetworkManager list of items.
Hi, everyone. I'm using ubuntu 12.04, but I have replaced Unity with Mate(a fork of gnome2) by unistalling and installing lots of softwares. Everything seems fine, except the Network-Manager applet on the top panel.
Intermittently I can't connect to the mobile network (openSuSE 12.3, KDE). When the NetworkManager applet is triggered it says networking active, mobile connection is not checked. So I click on mobile connection ant thus get the check-mark.
This simple tutorial shows how to stop or restart X server in Ubuntu using command or keyboard shortcuts.
Hello, I have a notebook Dell Vostro 1000 dual boot with Ubuntu 10.04 and it was running ok on my machine until a forced shutdown, after that, the NetworkManager icon does not appear and the computer doesn't connect anymore.
First error is fixed in [testing], no effect on slower boot, the bluetooth error, do you have the bluetooth.service enabled (again, no effect on slow boot). The error is in networkmanager, that one will delay your boot a lot.sudo systemctl status NetworkManager.service
I am using ubuntu 10.04 (Bio-linux 6.0). Last night I tried leaving my system in hibernate mode because there appears to be a bug in this version of ubuntu such that if I do a straight shut-down, the machine will boot up by itself some time overnight.
This morning I could not bring the system back up from hibernate so had to hold down the power button to reset.
Not sure if I'm on the right track here, but you can start/stop/enable/disable etc NetworkManager with: systemctl start NetworkManagerwifi-menu will not work if NetworkManager is running and vice-versa.I use NetworkManager, but if I don't boot into a gui cause somethings broken, then I have to stop NetworkManager in order for wifi-menu to work.
