http://askubuntu.com – I am trying to troubleshoot my home lan because of slow file transfer speed. I have 4 machines that all run ubuntu 12.04 and all experience similar transfer speeds on my network. I transfer a file to a pc sitting 2 feet away at about 3 MB/sec (Samba, nfs). 1GB network card, router supports 1 GB speeds, switch supports 200mb, full duplex on all machines. I am unsure where to begin or how to go about it. I have tried multiple pc as the role of server with various samba/nfs configs. Tips would be appreciated. (HowTos)
