I have widgets that are automatically added to the launcher, but some of these widgets need to be configured so I set an onClick listener to get the id and get the widget info to launch the Activity to configure the widget, but the problem I am having is when I return from the Activity of say a weather widget, the part where it is failing is in the create method , when I try get the appWidgetInfo
I would like to have a 4x2 widget where I can scroll through my contacts, or just favorites, etc. (similar to the bookmarks widget), but I don't see anything like that in ICS stock. I could add LauncherPro Plus, which I have used on other phones, but I am trying to stay stock if I can.
Is there any way to reduce the amount of Beautiful Widgets widget size options (e.g. 4x2, 4x4, etc.) from the widget list? Is it possible from the Beautiful Widgets settings menu, or do I need to do it through a different method?
Note that I'm not on a rooted phone. Thanks for any help.

so being new to android, i find this weird lol. so widgets are only available for apps that you have correct? and you can place either widgets or the app icon on the home screens?
also how do i resize widgets? i've pressed and held on the widget and the only options available are to drag somewhere else.
