I am trying to establish a VPN (PPTP) connection in FC11 to my work place.
However it is not working. I try to run it from GNOME, where I set it up in the network manager specifying:
- VPN server address
- user name
- domain
Perhaps NetworkManager-vpnc and/or NetworkManager-pptp from EPEL. Note that if you see a message "No valid VPN secrets" a reboot may be required to get the VPN to work properly. [by pschaff]
Hi,
I am using Fedora16.
The system recognizes the signal and asks me to input the network password, which matches; but when asked for the second password, the "nm connection editor", the password doesn't match. Isn't that password the same as the log on?

I want to avoid any password prompt from Ubuntu (12.04) network manager. I just want that the application works silently with the network and password that I gived to it and prompt for password just if I clicked on connect, but no automatically. The problem is that sometimes when the connection fails for any reason (bad signal for example), the network manager ask again for the password.
Hi,
I had a cisco vpn profile imported into network manager. It has enc_GroupPwd, after importing the Group password is empty and "Saved" selected in dropbox. Everything worked fine till today. Now it prompts to enter group password when I try to connect. I tried to reimport profile, didn't help. I still can connect with comman line vpnc-connect.
Hello. in XP, how do I map a network drive via command line so that it pops up a username/password dialog (with a "remember password" option), as you would if you went to "Tools->Map Network Drive..."? "net use e: \\server\share" seems to require the username password to be kept in plain text in the .bat file.
How do I change my default keyring password in F11?
The instructions from here no longer work:
Code:
$ yum search gnome-keyring-manager
Loaded plugins: dellsysidplugin2, fastestmirror, refresh-packagekit
