Hi folks; I have a starline nb1000, lspci:
00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) SMBus Controller (rev 02)
01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101E/RTL8102E PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller (rev 02)
02:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8187SE Wireless LAN Controller (rev 22)
This is proving to be really hard to get done.I've worked with and on PCs for a long time, but never tried to do wireless before. It was not allowed on company PCs, meaning laptops had to be plugged into the network when us were in the office, and many had to employ encryption devices as well.
I uninstalled Windows 8 on a Samsung Series 9 (Samsung NP900X4C-A01US to be exact) and installed Fedora 17 in its place. Although many things work out of the box (kudos to the community), wireless does not. More specifically, wireless is shown as always "unavailable" in my desktop environment; wired connections work perfectly though.
Need help on installing and configure my wireless device

OS : fedora12

none off them works
perhaps there a solution i can get from this forum
Wireless type is rtl8187se from realtek

I am on a new dell inspirion 15r. I managed to boot arch in uefi mode, all works well. The only problem is that the network interfaces have weird names, this does not prevent them to work, but it's sill annoying for me having to remember weird strings. This is the output I get from lspci|grep -i net:07:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
