What is the value or URL for PKG_PATH used to inform NetBSD 6.0.1 where to download binary packages from? There seems to be a change in both servers as well as the path or directory layout for the packages directory. I have tried and failed to figure it out. I am using NetBSD on an i386 architecture.
Hi everybody.
I had to change the HD to my laptop so I made up my mind to install along with XP NetBSD. I have been told it's an agile and quick OS.
Mostly I need it to work with Python and Php.
Any help? Thanks
I have been using Debian and NetBSD systems for a long time, and I have got used to do binaries upgrades for the base system and for packages (using pkgin with NetBSD)
Now the NetBSD kernel does not work so well with the VPS provider, but FreeBSD is a supported option there, so I am thinking to make the switch.
I have seen that binary upgrades from the base systems seem reliable with freebsd-upd
I've just been updgraded to Sky+ and I've got an old Sky box (Thomson 286_544 aka Thomson DSI4212C). How would I go about installing NetBSD (compatible with nearly everything) on it?
Has anyone ever done this?
