1- What is the correct way to set this phone up for wifi? Here is my dilemma: I signed into starbucks wifi used it for a bit then left got in my car to drive.
I have a Samsung Galaxy W phone on which I have problems connecting to ONE specific wifi network. The phone is running Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread).
The wifi network in question is a shared connection on a Windows 7 64-bit computer. This worked nicely for a while, until I suddenly managed to select "forget network" on the phone by mistake.
OK, so I currently have a wifi aokp ics HTC flyer, iPod touch 3rd Gen jailbroken , hp touchpad dual booted with android and web os, and Samsung fascinate on miui 4 used only with wifi and has no plan of any kind, I bypassed activation.
Running Android 4.0.4 and having issues with WiFi
My workplace has become overloaded with WiFi networks and the network I connect to doesn't require a 'key', I have to connect and access a web page where I enter a password which is remembered.
Hi everyone,
Take a look at this new app. It's called Kainy, and what it does is it lets you play your favorite games on your android phone/tablet with a wifi OR 3g/4g connection.
You can customize or even create your own controls!
Try it, it is way better than any other remote desktop on the android market.

So here's what happened. Someone changed the key for the office WiFi router, and I don't have physical access to the router. Now all I know is that the key uses WPA2. I could of course bring in my personal laptop, but it's pretty heavy and I'd rather be able to do everything on my phone.
Is it possible to get Aircrack, Aircrack-ng or an app that lets you crack WiFi keys on Android?
Okay. I need a free app to turn my phone into a wifi hotspot. Sounds easy?? My Vibrant is running Android 2.1 so I don't have Google play, and my phone doesn't actually work through a company. I just use it on a wifi signal. My phone reaches the community wifi but my laptop doesn't! :/
So, generally, just about everyone say wifi off is best to save battery life.. How so? With wifi on (while connected to a connection), your phone doesn't have to strain itself using 1x or 3g or any of that but simply uses the wifi smoothly with ease.. I personally tend to get much better battery life with my wifi on due to all the Facebook and xda and Web browsing I do..
Hey guys I have a one X and been through 3 phones and all seem to have a wifi issue when I put the phone to sleep where my alerts are usually delayed as if my wifi connection drops. Only way to resolve is to use data only (but I don't have unlimited) or put wifi mode in advanced settings to best performance (drains battery so fast this way).
