We're switching from a hosted mail received through IMAP to Windows Exchange Server 2013 but I'd want emails that arrive to the previous mail host to be available in exchange.
Is there any way such that Exchange is able to periodically check for new mail using IMAP and proceed to distribute them?
Note: This tutorial is a continuation of the Sendmail tutorial; please read through the Sendmail tutorial first before you attempt to install Dovecot or Squirrelmail.
Although most versions of CentOS come standard with a POP3/IMAP server, dovecot can be much easier to configure and works almost straight after installation.
In our internal webmail system, we'd like to attach notes and contacts to certain mails. In order to do this, we have to keep track of every mail on our IMAP server.
Unfortunately the IMAP standard doesn't enforce the uniqueness of the UID of a mail in a mailbox (just in subfolders). Is there any tool/IMAP server which generates UIDs which are truly unique?
I have configured postfix, courier on EC2 which is having Ubuntu 12.
The necessary port's are opened SMTP, IMAP, POP3.
Installed and configured postfixadmin. Added domain and some mail boxes.
I am able to send mail from that admin panel to any email address.
But not able to log in to any email account using outlook. It gives can't established secured, unsecured connection error.
Hey guys,Im running a VPS server with 2GB ram and am trying to reduce CPU/RAM usage. There are no email accounts on the server so I am thinking that I could disable the IMAP/POP3 server to reduce the CPU usage.I tried to upload a screenshot but phpBB restricted me from posting external links, here is the screenshot:
I don't like to use the Gmail App, always used the exchange setting which, unfortunately, isn't working anymore. So when I started using the stock HTC mail app for setting up Gmail accounts, which uses IMAP, I had the problem of 3 new labels being created in Gmail! IMAP/Trash, IMAP/Sent & IMAP/Draft. Also syncing didn't work right!
Postfix Virtual Hosting With LDAP Backend And With Dovecot As IMAP/POP3 Server On Ubuntu Kamic Koala 9.10

I'm not planning to start a flame war here, honest, just looking for straightforward advice. I am using Gmail as my main service but also pull in mail from some other servers via pop3 to my Gmail account, as well as log in to my workplace's Exchange server (spit) via IMAP, and copy mail from there to my Gmail account with a filter.
