Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I've had a TERRIBLE experience with the lg esteem - and we have TWO!!
I love the screen. When I bought it, it ran really fast for about 2 to three months. Same with my wife's esteem I bought her. Then, it started getting slower... and slower. to the point where making a phone call or scrolling through contacts, ANYTHING, was very painful.
I have an old XP system ('08 or '09 ) that I need to upgrade. I've decided to dump XP and go with either W7 or W8. I was going to do this almost a year ago and just put it off. But now my monitor also died. I'd like to save and re-use a few items from old computer.
I came up with some components and would like some advice on their compatibility and 'value' per other similar components.
See my rant/story in the Verizion discussion for full details....I will sum up here:
Wife and I got pre-order VZW S3s...neither could hold a call for long. 4 later for me, 5 later for her...we finally have S3s that will hold a call for longer then 3 minutes and have the right battery and storage amount in them. Wife dropped hers last week, cracked the scree BAD.
I've been doing some research for laptops to replace my wife's very old work-issued laptop. Her company just implemented a reimbursement policy to avoid dealing with laptop inventory/servicing. They'll reimburse her for half of up to $3000, and she gets to keep it.
#! user for a day and a half now and loving every minute. I've used Ubuntu quite a bit and even talked my wife into using the 10.10 version on her old laptop. I started using #! as a lightweight OB for my Lenovo (IBM) T60p. New favorite laptop; new favorite distro!A little about me: I'm 22 years old and currently living in Nanaimo, BC: The wonderful west coast of Canada.
Anyone who knows me around here, knows that I have a "wife"; I refer to her as my wife, even though we've been engaged for 4 years. Well, it's finally happening, we are getting officially married on September 20th. So that leads me to some questions, my parents were nice enough to rent us a hotel room in Las Vegas for an entire week; but what should we do?
