Hi all,Did a minimal install of 6.3, went fineAfter doing the Gnome and X yum installs and rebooting, the machine looks hung but Ctrl Alt F2 allows me to login in terminal mode.
I am currently building a stripped down version for the full Fedora 18 DVD using the punji software. To date I have been able to build an F18 Install DVD that includes Minimal Install and GNOME Desktop. I did this to free up space on the DVD to include some custom rpm packages.
I've been using Fedora off and on for a while now, but I've never tried a minimal installation before. I used the DVD, selected minimal, created a user, installed Xorg and Xfce and lightdm but lightdm doesn't start at boot. How can I get it to? I've done minimal installs a bunch of times on Arch Linux, but unlike Arch there isn't a whole lot of documentation or guides for Fedora.
I have installed squeeze 6.0.0 as a base install from: Network install from a minimal CD.
Debian -- Network install from a minimal CD
i do see a lot of information on the various #apt commands , yet is is all garble goop as far as trying to make sense of where to begin at to install commands/programs.
