http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hello, I'm trying to install F12 and fail at partioning. Here's my disk layout Code: root@oppa-labor:~# fdisk -l Disk /dev/sda: 500.1 GB, 500107862016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 60801 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Disk identifier: 0x91fd91fd Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 1 8286 66557263+ 7 HPFS/NTFS /dev/sda2 8287 16700 67584000 7 HPFS/NTFS /dev/sda3 * 16700 25114 67584000 83 Linux /dev/sda4 25115 60801 286655827+ 5 Extended /dev/sda5 25115 33746 69336508+ 83 Linux /dev/sda6 33747 42378 69336508+ 83 Linux /dev/sda7 42379 51010 69336508+ 83 Linux /dev/sda8 51011 59642 69336508+ 83 Linux /dev/sda9 59643 60801 9309636 82 Linux swap / Solaris F12 should go to sda3 but the partioning tool does not list it and some other. 1,2,4,5 and 6 are displayed and some strange lvm_root and lvm_something. What's up with that lvm stuff ? So, how do I get the partitioning tool to display all of my partitions and how to select /dev/sda3 for Fedora / ? Happy weekend all, Oppa (HowTos)
