I have tried the instructions on the page http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-google-chrome.html#m... to turn flash player on and I have restarted my browser and it still gives me this error. How do I get around this error?
This prevents me from watching you tube videos in chrome.
Although it works fine under firefox. :P
getting this message "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player."

I have the ubuntu adobe flash player plugin from the software centre.. and By the way i am on ubuntu 10.10 since this computer can't handle the newer ubuntu.. :|. I'm wondering how do i do a clean install of the flash player plugin? I know to uninstall it but is there a profile folder that it is in that i should delete after the sudo apt-get remove of it?
I am not real hi-tech with computers and I don't know if I will understand the solution you may give me, but I will try.
I received an e-mail from a friend the other day that had a site to view a movie clip. This time when I clicked on the site a message came up that I needed a new version of Adobe Flash-player plug-in. So I went to a free site to load the latest flash=player for Linux.
From Last day I found this problem on my google chrome in Fedora 18. I tried to reinstall google chrome but didn't worked. But I found a solution. By disabling libpepflashplayer.so it worked.
Simply I did
Open google chrome
enter in the address bar
Code:
chrome://plugins/
search the libpepflashplayer.so and disable it. And it worked.
I'm attaching a screen shot of it.
“For Flash Player releases after 11.2, the Flash Player browser plugin for Linux will only be available via the “Pepper” API as part of the Google Chrome browser distribution and will no longer be available as a direct download from Adobe.
